Nalli, the oldest silk saree showroom in the city, began its journey in 1928. The eye-catching showroom is named after Chinnasami Chetty, the grandfather of Kuppuswami Chetty (one of the partners at present). With an annual turnover of Rs.220 crore, the organisation stands foremost in the silk trade today. Nalli owns 50 looms at Arni. Also, 10,000 silk handlooms are working for the organisation in various places like Kumbakonam and Salem.

Customers have a wide range to choose from - Churidhar sets, Kora Cotton, Valkalam, Cotton Banaras, Kanchi Cotton, Poly Cotton, Madurai Sungudi, Poly Silk, Erode Voil, Malmal, Venkatagiri Pure Jari, Puna, Semi Gadwal and Kanchipuram Silks sarees. Sarees are available in the price range of Rs.250/- to Rs.50,000/-. Presently Nalli has outlets at Bangalore, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, New Delhi, Singapore, San Jose (U.S.A) and Toronto (Canada).
