Asia 2001 - the fourth edition of the Building, Construction
and Home Interior Exhibition, organised by Meera Dynamic Company,
was held at Rani Meyyammai Hall, Egmore, from 19th to
22nd January 2000.
Around 50 exhibitors (both manufacturers and dealers) participated
in this Exhibition. Among the prominent participants were Carrier
Aircon, Godrej and Boyce, K-Lite Industries, Bafna group, Jain Granites,
Ranutrol Hansa, Arya Bhangy, Best Pumps - Coimbatore, State
Bank of India and Indiaproperties.com.
 Products
on display included tiles, paints, marbles, granites, ornamental
doors, flush doors, locks, latches and locking systems, sanitary
ware, pumps, air-conditioners, water heaters, water fountains, grill-work,
furniture, artefacts, paintings, lighting and light fixtures (for
domestic, industrial, commercial and landscape use), bathroom fittings
and shutters. Stalls for housing finance were also put up.
Drawing around 30,000 visitors to the Exhibition, Build Asia 2001
has received extremely good feedback from industry participants
as well.
