Mustafa Gold Mart is no new name in jewellery. Started by Mushtaq Ahmed, in Singapore, this retail giant has stepped in to Chennai after a period of over thirty years in Singapore.

How is the Chennai market after the experience in Singapore? "The response has been very good", says Hassan Ali, who is in-charge of this spacious showroom. "The name Mustafa is very well-recognised here. We have just started in Chennai and would like to expand more here", he added.

The range available in each section is mind-boggling. And, talking of designs, what is unique here is that most of the stocks are from Singapore and Dubai. As Hasan says, " The main idea behind this was - people who cannot fly to Singapore, can buy the same beautiful jewellery here. The polishing and the glitter of these ornaments is unmatched and the designs are also more sophisticated."

Mustafa also has a special instalment scheme wherein you can select an ornament and pay 10% of the amount for it initially, as a deposit. It will be reserved for you, and you can pay the rest of the money in 3-6 months. No matter how the price of gold changes, you still pay the rate that existed on the day when you selected the jewel.
