DUPATTA
FESTIVAL
TheDupatta is a long piece of cloth, worn or draped on the shoulder,
usually complementing a Salwar set or a Churidhar (popular apparel
for Indian women).
Previously left unnoticed, the dupatta has now attained the importance
it deserves among fashion accessories.
A beautiful dupatta can make an otherwise dull dress look stunning.
To bring out the amazing variety available in Dupattas, a
Dupatta Festival is on at Kalpa Druma, till September 24th.
This is probably the first time in the city that an exclusive exhibition
of Dupattas is taking place.

it, they have it all on display.

Tussar silks, and Organza. Warli - a tribal painting style
from Maharashtra is incorporated on some silk dupattas. A special
collection of designer dupattas called 'Bodhi', is also on display.
These are made of Tussar silk with lovely prints and designs.
In the cotton arena - dupattas with Mangalgiri work, block prints,
