It is hoped that the bag would make it to the Guiness Book of World Records. The official reply from the Guinness Book of Records is expected in two months. Though there are no plans to sell it, Kapur said that the bag would be taken on a tour across Indian cities, wherever Hidesign have their showroom. The bag according to company authorities will also be displayed whenever a new store is opened. There is quite a steady stream of visitors to Hidesign’s company showroom at Ispahani Centre, thanks to the bag and the amount of curiosity it has generated in Chennai.

Kapur said they chose this idea, as Hidesign is a premium brand occupying maximum shelf space at prestigious retail outlets in many cities around the world. He also announced an alliance with Qwiky's Coffee bar. Edwin Paul, Vice-President, Qwikys said, "while the coffee-pub chain will sell Hidesign merchandise across the country, it would also set up coffee island or kiosks at all Hidesign stores".
