CAKES 'N' BAKES

From Cakes to Pastries, Biscuits to Cookies, Sandwiches to Burgers, Pizzas to Puddings, Cakes 'N' Bakes has over 200 items on its menu. It was inspired by the pastry shops that were traditionally part of every street in Europe.

Nichani, who founded Cakes 'N' Bakes in 1983, wanted to give to the people of the city pastry items that were till then, found only in the cake shops of luxury hotels.

What stands out at Cakes 'N' Bakes is the personal attention given by the Nichanis to every item on the menu. Any item, which is found to be slow moving, is taken off the menu. Quality is the 'mantra' at Cakes 'N' Bakes.

Keran Nichani says that on an average around 40 cakes are sold a day. The cakes are made in batches, four times a day. So at any given time of the day the customer can get a freshly baked cake.

Watch out for their special festivals. Pizzas made in the shape of Zodiac signs at the Zodiac sign festival and the Sandwich festival were some of the popular festivals in the past.
