The Canton, with its unpretentious interiors, has attracted the likes of Ajith and Mohanlal (Stars of the Tamil and Malayalam film industry) with the quality of its food.

Named after a port town in the Guang Thong district of China, The Canton is a restaurant that lets it food do the talking, instead of relying on frills.

The restaurant has a seating capacity for 42 and a red and white scheme for its interior. There are a few Chinese umbrellas, lanterns and fans made from bamboo, reinforcing the oriental connection.

The Manager - Jagadeesan, recommends the Cantonese Salad (a speciality of the restaurant) and also the most popular dish there. It is a cold salad made of fried noodles, strips of cucumber, tomatoes, capsicum and onion. The Canton speciality soup, Kang Kung and the Spring Chicken wings are also hot favourites here.

The restaurant caters to the American and British Consulates on a regular basis and it has even received appreciation from the Commercial Consul of the American Consulate, for its excellent service at a house party. It is also a hot favourite with executives working in the multi-national banks located in the vicinity.

The restaurant has advanced tele-reservation and ordering facility. Theme parties are also undertaken.
