GLOBE FITNESS

Established in 1987, Globe has developed into a leading brand name in the city's Health and Fitness market. Under the guidance of Founder-Trainer M. Kesavan, this gym has nurtured many body-builders, some of whom have won the Mr India title!

Globe manufactures and uses its own equipment. The fitness machines at the Gym include a Treadmill, Fore-arm Machine, Bench Press, Abdomen Bench, Multi-Station Gym, Belly Roller, Tummy Vibrator, Exer Cycle and a Ski-Stepper. The gym is frequented mostly by students, doctors and executives. Some of the members have even bought equipment from Globe.

Kamal Hasan, Mammooty, Mohanlal, Vijay, Murali, Vijayakanth and action superstar Sarat Kumar have exercised here. Software companies like Satyam Computers and Sterling Infotech have approached Globe for corporate memberships. Kesavan, a body-builder himself, believes that exercise is a must for any individual. This 1956 Mr Madras is a sportsperson at heart and has been involved in horse riding, car racing, rowing and long-distance running. He was with Premchand Dogra when the latter won the Mr Universe title.

Sanjeevani, founded by Murthy S Yeramilli in 1996, offers a comprehensive package for health and rejuvenation. Ayurvedic therapy, massage, aerobics, a swimming pool and beauty parlour - all under one roof.
