Malar
makes possible high quality care to the public, at affordable
costs. With a 250-bed multi speciality hospital and ultra modern
care as a norm across the various units in the hospital, Malar Hospitals
is emerging as one of the most preferred medical destinations in
the country.
One of the novel features in Malar is the Intensive Cardiac
Care Unit (ICCU). The bedside monitors are connected with the
IBM computer at the Cardiologists' residence. This feature
is the first of its kind in the country. Trauma care also
stands as one of the highlights of Malar hospitals. Round-the-clock
availability of surgical, nursing and paramedical expertise and
equipment is delivered at the Trauma Care. Malar has replaced the
conventional EEG (Electro Encyphalo Graph) to digital EEG.
It also is equipped with the city's only Brain Mapping System.
Malar is almost synonymous with the Malar Heart Foundation (MHF).
Equipped with a highly specialised team of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery,
Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Nurses, Perfusionist and Paramedical
Staff, MHF, can handle heart-related complaints with a good success
rate. Since its inception in March 1996, more than 1,500 Angiograms
and 200 Coronary Interventional Procedures have be done with
zero mortality. The success rate for the 1,050 complicated Open
Heart Surgeries till date stands at a phenomenal 99.6%. For the
first time in the country, MHF performed AutograftStenting
in coronary arteries in April1996. The main attraction towards
MHF is attributed to the low mortality and low complication rate.
