2000 students pass through the portals of Stella Maris College
today, taught by around 100 faculty, of whom 31 hold doctoral
degrees.
Started off with 32 students on 15th August 1947, by the Franciscan
Missionaries of Mary, the college is today autonomous, but continues
to be affiliated to the University of Madras.
