Tanishq has launched yet another collection, this time an
exotic combination of pearl and diamond jewellery called Diva.
Diva, a unique collection of fifty designs, is an attempt to combine
the natural softness of pearls with the intense brilliance of diamonds.
 Inspired
by the modern woman who is a fine balance of cool practicality and
soft sensuality, a perfect combination of contrasts - strong yet
sensual, professional and a perfect homemaker, independent and caring,
hardworking and elegant; the Diva collection is an attempt to harmonise

of diamonds with the soft luminosity of pearls, in exquisite forms,
which bring about a perfect and alluring symphony of two precious
but distinctive elements".
Diva comprises neckwear and earring sets as well as pendant and
earring sets. In keeping with the trend towards contemporary
designs, the collection combines pearl and diamonds in innovative
forms using both white and yellow gold. Even the pearls used
are in soft hues of pink and white, each of which have been carefully
selected to ensure uniformity of colour and size. With its versatile
look, the jewellery can be worn for any occasion and with all types
of ensembles. It offers elaborate necklace sets, which can
be worn to a formal evening party as well as elegant pendant earring
sets for other occasions. A large part of the collection reflects
the current fashion rage in the country and abroad - rhodium plated
and sporting the 'white' look. Reasonably priced, most of
the products are in the range of Rs 2,000/- to Rs 10,000/-.
 Design
being the top priority at Tanishq, a lot of effort has been taken
on this front. Innovative techniques have been used for the
pearl and diamond settings. A number of the products have
pave-set diamonds, which ensure a particularly brilliant diamond
intensive look. The products are also light in weight and
comfortable to wear. Another unique feature is the unconventional
setting of pearls in the collection. In some of the designs
the pearls are set behind the form, where the pearly silhouette
is visible through the gold. The Diva collection launched
first in Chennai will be taken to other metros shortly.
Saroja expressed hope that the collection would be very successful,
as Diva offers today's women exclusive jewellery 'wearable' for
any occasion.
