KUSHBU
From
being a child artiste, to having a temple built to her by her fans!
That was the journey that gave Kushbu an unparalleled fan following
in an essentially male dominated industry. In just a little over
a decade, she has acted in over 100 films.
In her early Tamil films like Varsham - 16 and Vetrivizhaa
she nearly went unnoticed. With Chinna Thambi she
became a household name. She bagged both the Tamil Nadu State
Award (1991) and the Cinema Express Award (1992)
for the same film.
From then on there was no looking back. Her other notable films include
Mannan, Annaamalai with super star Rajinikanth,
Kizhakku Vaasal with Karthik and Naattaamai
with Sarath Kumar. She is also the recipient of the
Tamilnadu State Award for Kolangal (1995) and
Pathini (1997) and the Cinema Express Award for
Irattai Roja (1996).
