UNNIKRISHNAN
Born
on 9th July 1966 Unnikrishnan began his training in Carnatic
Music at the age of twelve.
His teachers were V.L. Seshadri, S. Ramanathan, Savithri Sathyamurthy
and Calcutta K.S. Krishnamurthy.
Unnikrishnan received the National Award for the Best Male Playback
Singer in 1994 for his film song debut "Ennavale" (in the
film Kadalan). Since then he has recorded over 200 film songs in
Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. He has successfully released
several songs on cassettes and CDs.
Not many know that this singer is a die-hard Cricket enthusiast
who was once the State senior division league's top order batsman
and wicket-keeper.
Unnikrishnan has toured successfully across the globe.

PRASANNA
If
you thought the Guitar was only meant for rock or country music,
then guitarist Prasanna will change your mind beyond further
doubt. Pioneer in the use of Guitar for Carnatic music, Prasanna
has stunned critics and audiences with the amazing expressive power
he gives the guitar.
Born into a nonmusical family, on the 2nd of October, 1970 in Coimbatore
, Prasanna took up the guitar when he was ten. When the veena teacher
Tiruvarur Balasubramaniam, heard Prasanna spontaneously improvising
on the raga Shanmukhapriya on the guitar, the boy's
journey in classical musicianship began.
Even as he emerged as a rock guitarist of repute, Prasanna continued
his Carnatic music learning with renowned Violinist A Kanya Kumari.
From his debut solo concert at Music Academy in 1989, this Engineer-turned-full
time musician has composed and performed in a variety of musical
forms - from Jazz and Rock to Carnatic and Fusion.
Prasanna has shared the stage with master musicians like Dr L Subramaniam,
Trichy Sankaran, Kadri Gopalnath and Vikku Vinayakram.
He has also recorded with the who's who in Film Music - A R Rahman,
Illayaraja, Lakshmikant Pyarelal, Karthik Raja, Deva and Vidyasagar.
Prasanna is an Engineering graduate from IIT, Chennai and Classical
and Jazz Music graduate from the Berkley School of Music,
Boston.
